This page is intended for participants and prospective attendees of the open training SQLScript for BW Consultants. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at info@brandeis.de.

Registration

Registration is usually done via our website. Here we ask for the relevant information needed to organize the event:

  • First and last name
  • Email address
  • Billing address
  • Postal address
  • Comments

Alternatively, you can also send an email to info@brandeis.de with the necessary information. If you made a mistake during registration or would like to add something, please feel free to contact us additionally by email.

Open Training

Open training means that participants from different companies as well as freelancers can take part. For this reason, we have to stick strictly to the planned agenda in the open trainings. So that we still have enough time for questions and issues from all participants, the group size is limited to a maximum of 10 participants.

For in-house trainings we are more flexible and can address the customer's respective focus areas in the agenda.

Training Material

During registration you provide the postal address. We will then send the book SQLScript for SAP HANA and the SQLScript Cheat Sheet poster to that address. If you register several participants at once, you can also provide additional postal addresses in the Comments field or by email to info@brandeis.de.

Training System

SAP HANA

During the first two days we do a lot of exercises in the SQL console of SAP HANA. For this reason, every participant needs access here. Ideally, you have access to the SAP HANA database underlying your own SAP BW system. If that is not possible, we can help you out with our HANA Express system. Please let us know in advance so that we can set up access for you.

SAP BW

From the third day on, we also work on the SAP BW system. It is important that each participant works on their own system (or that of their employer, customer, etc.). We cannot provide access here. If you do not have access to a suitable system, please contact us at info@brandeis.de.

By the way, it does not matter whether you have a BW on HANA (7.50) system or a BW/4HANA system. In the training we will cover both and highlight the differences.

Transport Request with Exercise Scenarios

We have prepared a transport request with exercise scenarios in BW and a short set of instructions for it. We will send this to you by email after registration. Please import it in advance and carry out the corresponding follow-up steps according to the instructions. Then we can get started right away during the training.

If there are any problems, please contact us by email.

Development Environment

Every participant needs an Eclipse development environment with the following three plug-ins:

  • ABAP Development Tools (ADT)
  • BW Modelling Tools (BW-MT)
  • SAP HANA Tools

For the BW system, both an ABAP project and a BW project should be set up. For SAP HANA, the corresponding system connection should be configured.
