The key to greater developer efficiency. Learn tips and tricks to work quickly and productively with Eclipse.
The ABAP Development Tools (ADT) for Eclipse are the current development environment for the ABAP programming language. Newer technologies such as Core Data Services (CDS) and ABAP Managed Database Procedures (AMDP) can no longer be created or edited in the SAP GUI with SE80. For this reason, there is no way around the ADT sooner or later. Unfortunately, the switch is difficult, even though the ADTs offer a wide range of useful features that make development work easier and more efficient.
