Description
The ABAP programming language has evolved enormously over the last 10 years. For development in S/4HANA and in the cloud, many useful new features have been added that make programming more efficient, faster and better. We have summarized these enhancements under the term Modern ABAP. On our Cheat Sheet Modern ABAP you will find the most important elements. In his State-of-the-Art ABAP presentations in autumn 2021 for the DSAG, Horst Keller nicely demonstrated how many new concepts have been added over the years. And how elegantly you can now program with ABAP. Thanks to an expression-oriented style, modern ABAP allows you to solve many tasks compactly and transparently that previously had to be formulated in many individual statements. This reduces the susceptibility to errors and makes the source code more readable.
